Abstract
The study was conducted to determine the impacts of drug abuse on the academic performance of pupils in Kenya. The study sought to determine; to identify the types of drugs and drug abused in Kenya, to find out the causes of drug abuse among pupils in Kenya, to find out the impacts of drug abuse on the pupils living around and in the north-eastern province, to ascertain the relationship between the causes of drug abuse among pupils in Kenya and to suggest possible measures that can be put in place to overcome the increased number of drug abuse among pupils in Kenya., The literature review was conducted with the aim of establishing and shading more light on the two variables, the area under study. It explained the process adopted by public institutions and its procurement activities and the negative and positive effects of the process. The researcher collected the necessary using questionnaire and interview methods of data collection. The data was tabulated and then analyzed in order to draw inference from the data collected. The info1mation collected from the respondents through questionnaires and interview guide questions were used in order to answer the objectives of the study. The research study contains the summary of the findings, conclusions, recommendation. Various findings have been obtained from chapter four where clear and satisfactory conclusion and recommendation have been made on the basis of the research objective stipulated in chapter one.
