Abstract
In this research report entitled Incidence of worms and its effects on learners academic performance in primary schools of Nyamilama village, Kwimba district Tanzania. The researcher tried to find out the causes of intestinal worms in Nyamilama village, how worms affect children performance and establish way forward in eradication and suggest some simple home remedies of wo1ms infections. The researcher used descriptive survey design. The study was aimed at collecting information from respondents on their attitudes and opinion in relation to incidence of wonns to their academic perfonnance on pupils in Nyamilama village. The researcher used both primmy and secondary data. Primary data was obtained from questioners and interview while secondary data was obtained from internet, journals and text books. Both qualitative and quantitative technique were also employed to enable the researcher get reliable resource. According to the research findings intestinal worms are caused by several factors; taking food with unwashed hand, food contaminated by worms and not well cooked, drinking unboiled water, walking bare foot and eating unwashed fruits. So health and parental care depmtment in schoos should be established in order to educate pupils and society as whole to learn the precautions and preventive measures which will help in combat of worms in the society these will reduce the incidence of worms in society which in turns will increase the academic performance of pupils in schools.
