Abstract
Inventory management has been a global concern to any organisations whether small or big and the value of holding stock is seen as a waste of resources and should be done away with. To any inventory is realised as the type of goods/supplies that are stored, manufactured for sale of aiding in production, sometimes it includes assemblies and work in progress. This research study was aimed at making sure that the effect of inventory management on customer satisfaction was explored. All the related literature concerning the various types of inventory was exposed, the role of inventory management was also designed properly in this case study. The parameters of customer satisfaction derived from the services of National Water and Sewerage Corporation was also tested against some tangible clues. The design and the methodology used tackled all the fields for different data to be analysed. The analysis is by the method of tables and other relevant materials in interviews and general observation of the trends seen in the organisation. In the conclusion the researcher looked at the major influence of inventory management it has on customer satisfaction and the way forward for other similar organisations that lie in the same industry, it was suggested that customer satisfaction mostly results out of proper holding of stock that is so economical to the organisation; that is economic order quantity or matching demand and supply.
