Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examining the impact of ICT projects in the
selected secondary schools in Nyeri District, Kenya.
The specific objectives of the study were to describe the current situation in
selected secondary schools with regard to ICT usage, evaluate the ICT learning
programmes for students and to assess levels of interest in and attitudes
towards ICT among students, and to assess the positive impact of ICT
exposure in the lives of students.
The methods used for data collection was questionnaires to the students in the
school who were involved in the study.
In chapter four, the findings were presented and interpreted in relation to the
study objectives and research questions. While linking to the existing
literature, results included demographic characteristics, frequency and
percentages. Based on the findings it was observed there was a positive impact
to the learning of computers in secondary schools.
In chapter five, development of solutions to the problem, summary of the
findings and conclusions were attempted. The findings suggested government
that government should put up a policy that ensures all schools get asses to
ICT. This will help school avail facilities for the setting up of computer labs.
