Abstract
Makerere University authorities have resolved to drop 15% increment on functional fees but voted to maintain the controversial policy on tuition over the next five years. The University Council held a crisis meeting yesterday and used its authority as the supreme governing body to try to resolve the standoff at the country's premier institution of higher learning.
