Abstract
The overall aim of the study was to establish the relationship between the effects of mother tongue language in relation to English language and the students’ performance in science subjects in primary schools in Makindye Division Uganda. To find out how English language influences the students’ performance in science subjects in secondary schools in Makindye Division.To identify reasons as to why different students with different mother tongues person differently in science subjects in secondary schools in Makindye Division. To classify the different mother tongues in relation to English language towards the performance in science subjects in secondary schools in Makin dye Division.To identify the problems brought about as a result of language barrier in relation to poor Performance by students in science subjects in secondary schools in Makindye Divisionout how English language influences the students’ performance in science subjects in secondary schools in Makindye Division.
