Abstract: The study was conducted in Bukwo district located in the eastern part of Uganda. Bukwo district is bordered by Kween district to the north, kapchorwa district to the west.The area studied is highly affected by school dropout problem. The study analyzed the effects of learning environment on school dropout of students in secondary schools in particular and the researcher focused on the most affected secondary schools which included; Tulel secondary school, Chesower senior secondary school , amanang secondary school and kamet secondary school The study also cut across school settings to get the views and opinions of the public on how they perceive the causes and consequences associated with school dropout. And it sought to dig out the views and perceptions of teachers, students as well as the general public who either interact with the students or directly take care of students,
