Abstract
The overall aim of the report was to explore the impact of micro finance intervention on rural poor women .Lately the role of financial services in the struggle against poverty has been given increased attention given the informal economy where the majority of poor women operate.The specific objectives of the study were, to explore the impact of micro finance programmes on the household welfare, to find out if micro finance programmes savings reduce vulnerability and risks of clients.
