Abstract
The study sort to investigate the relationship between Parenting Styles and Students’ Discipline In Selected Secondary Schools Kamariny Division Keiyo North District, Kenya~ Correlational research design was used to predict the relationship between parenting and students discipline. Both qualitative and quantitative research design was used. Qualitative research technique was used to obtain descriptive evidence and to explain some certain qualitative phenomenon; quantitative technique was used to generate numerical data, frequencies and percentages were used to analyze data on demographic aspect of the respondents. Using (SPSS) Statistical Package for Social Scientist, data was analyzed and descriptive statistics such as mean, percentages, R-values, t-values were analyzed. Data from each questionnaire was categorized and edited for accuracy. They information obtained was further triangulated with information from secondary sources for meaningful interpretation and discussion. The field results indicated that there was a significant correlation between parenting styles and students’ discipline. The findings of this study will benefit policy makers, community members, principals of secondary schools, district supervisory board teachers all of whom they will improve on the management off students discipline in their respective institutions for better learning.
