Basing on the research findings it can be concluded that government should be supportive and protective of the media to promote development among people in rural areas which can be done through encouraging the local community to participate in the activities enforcing development together with the media. In conclusion therefore, media plays a major role in development of rural communities thus it should not be under estimated in terms of developing such areas. One of the reasons is that use of media being the first informative way of reaching and sensitizing local people, works closely with the community, hence establishing pressing needs of the community and it is able to prioritize them and offer services which are relevant to the needs of the community and can facilitate development with in a short period of time in comparison with other instruments.
