Abstract
This research looked at the Assessment of the Factors Influencing Compliance with Employment Laws by Uganda Corporations. It was guided by the following objectives; to determine the extent to which Ugandan employees' knowledge about the existing employment laws affected compliance with the employment laws at the company, to evaluate the perceptions of corporations towards the existing employment laws affected compliance with the employment laws of the company, to examine how labour union activities have affected compliance with the employment laws in Uganda and to examine how government involvement has affected compliance with employment laws in Uganda. The findings of the study were; background information of the respondents, results on the extent to which employees of Mukwano Group of Companies are knowledgeable about the existing employment laws, results on the perceptions of Mukwano Group of Companies management towards the existing employment laws, result son how trade union activities have affected compliance with the employment laws at Mukwano Group of Companies and how government involvement and compliance to employment laws has affected their compliance at Mukwano Group of Companies. It was recommended that the biggest number of employees at Mukwano Group of Companies knew the existing employment laws. It was concluded that the trade umon activities and the government involvement helped employees to know their employment Jaws.
