of Uganda. The researcher makes an insight to the fact that although government has made
progress in environmental laws, implementation remains a challenge in enforcing environmental
law in Uganda; success and challenges wherein this right has been enjoyed are discussed in
detail with an assessment of the legal and institutional framework that is mandated to promote
the enjoyment of this right the paper concludes by giving recommendations that can be adopted
if the right to a clean and health environment is to be enjoyed fully.
