dc.description.abstractThis thesis is entitled “Soclo-economic Reintegration of Gender Based Violence Survivors and Peacebuilding in Walungu territory in south-kivu of Democratic Republic of Congo”. The study was carried out based on four specific objectives: to determine the socio-economic reintegration activities of GBV survivors which contribute to the Peacebuilding process in Walungu territory among the Rega and the Shi ethnic group victims of the war violence. The researcher looked at f actors affecting the socio economic reintegration of women and girl survivors into society in Walungu territory. And he tried to establish the challenges in the implementation of the process of socio economic reintegration of GBV survivors in Walungu territory. And at the end he tested the knowledge of GBV and Peacebuilding among women and girls in Walungu Territory. The researcher adopted a descriptive research design. The target population comprised of 320 respondents from the selected NGOs and associations. The researcher used the ANOVA method of sampling based on the available data found at Panzi hospital and the Malteser monthly statistics findings of Gender based violence in the South-Kivu to get the sample size. The primary data collection was done by the use of questionnaires, focus group discussion and in depth interview. And the secondary data were found through documentation. The collected data was coded and analyzed using relevant Statistical computer packages. Thereafter, basing on the coded and analyzed data, conclusions were drawn and recommendations were made thereof.en_US
