dc.description.abstractThis study established the relationship between Ubudehe program and Poverty reduction I Bugesera District Eastern province of Rwanda. Specifically, the study sought to determine (i) profile of the respondents, (ii) Activities of Ubudehe program, (iii) level of poverty reduction, (iv) whether there was a significant relationship between Ubudehe program and poverty reduction.A descriptive correlation and descriptive comparative were used in that study, data were collected from 106 respondents using research devised questionnaire as the key data collection instrumentsThe study population comprised of 145 members of Ubudehe program in Bugesera District, A sample of 106 respondents was chosen using simple random sampling method. Questionnaires were used in collecting both primary and secondary data. The collected data was analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. It was in form of descriptive research design. The collected data were analyzed using Statistical package for social science software ( SPSS), Data were analyzed at univariate level using frequency counts, mean, and Pearson Linear Coefficient. The findings revealed that there was a satisfactory activities of Ubudehe program in Bugesera District, that the level of poverty reduction was also satisfactory in Bugesera District, that Ubudehe program was significantly correlated with poverty reduction in Bugesera District, rejected the null hypothesis.It recommends that Ubudehe program should be well articulated to reflect the monitoring and evaluation of Ubudehe program activities, and it should the role of local leaders to monitor community poverty reduction.en_US
