dc.description.abstractThe study examined the relationship between recruitment, selection and employee performance, using the case of Rwanda Social Security Board. Following the track of its set objectives, this study identified how recruitment and selection are conducted in Rwanda Social Security Board, put light on some of the challenges Rwanda Social Security Board faces in its endeavors to carry out effective recruitment and selection, find out whether there is relationship between recruitment, selection and employee performance in Rwanda Social Security Board, hence proposed recommendations that would strengthen effective recruitment and selection practices in Rwanda Social Security Board. Related Literature was reviewed to support the statement of the problem and the set objectives. A research methodology was developed to assist the researcher collect, analyze and interpret data. The researcher used descriptive research design in order to obtain information concerning the current status of phenomena, to find answers to question related to who, what when and how. Results revealed that recruitment and selection in Rwanda Social Security Board is relatively conducted well. The manpower plan (job analysis) is the basis for recruitment and selection at Rwanda Social Security Board. It highlights that the existing performance problems could be majorly coming out of other Human Resource practices, that heavily determine the level at which recruitment and selection can impact the organizational overall performance. Recommendation for improving recruitment and selection and other factors that affect performance were suggested, aimed at improving organizational performance.en_US
