The study dealt into the relationship between organizational communication and employee performance at Kigari Teachers Training College in Embu District, Kenya. On employee performance, the study focused on employee relations, commitment, competency and team work. Using the descriptive correlation design, data was collected from 150 selected academic employees. The approximation of study sample was determined through simple random sampling. The respondents were chosen based on the criteria that they were full time teaching staff both in administration and classroom tutors. Questionnaires were the main data collection instruments. The findings of the study revealed that most of the respondents under study were male in their late middle age. It was found out that organizational communication has significant correlation relationship with employee performance. Based on the study, it was concluded that the null hypothesis on significant difference between extent of communication strategies and level of employee performance was rejected. The findings of the study validated the system theory. The major recommendation was; employees should be encouraged to upgrade their qualification, gender, equity should be practiced, clear promotion policy should be put in place and communication process be refined to improve on the present gains. Open and honest communication should be encouraged. Future research on leadership style, recruitment and promotion should be conducted.en_US
