dc.description.abstractThe study focuses on the analysis of the effects of forestry laws on climate change with particular interest in Iteso and Ankole-Masaka in Uganda. The objective of this study is to analyze the laws and policies put in place by the government with regard to forestry sector in the wake of the global climate change and global warming in particular and to asce1i~in a clear view as to the extent of the efficacy of such laws and policies. The result of the study shows that Uganda is highly vulnerable to climate change and variability due to heavy reliance of the economy on climate dependent resources, very low adaptive capacity, weak institutional capacity, limited financial resources, low income per capita and limited capacity and equipment for disaster management.en_US
