dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study was to find out causes of increased inflow of foreign students in Ugandan higher institutions of learning a case study of Kampala International University, Kansanga Ggaba road. The objectives of this study include; to find out the causes of increased inflow of foreign students in Ugandan higher institution of learning a case study of Kampala International University, to examine the effects of increased inflow of foreign students at Kampala International University and find out the way forward. The researcher employed a simple descriptive survey both qualitative and quantitative techniques were also used and random sampling was also used to select the sample. The instrument used to collect data was questionnaires (the teachers and students) and interview guide (people who allowed). The findings of the study indicated that increasing inflow of foreign students in Uganda higher institution of learning a particularly at Kampala International University is cost of education in• Uganda and other education services and this is confirmed from results included among others that there is a need for the university leaders such guild office should be target as change agents in promotion of foreign students in general and identifying their educational needs in particular. Foreign students association should be empowered through knowledge to protect themselves and manage education needs for sustainable development of the country. In conclusion due to abundant request by the majority of the people especially foreign students that university should continue charging a fair tuition as it has been than raising it. Hence this information will be helpful to all educational practitioners at Kampala International University and Uganda in general to re-address the various limitations for fruitful provision of services to the foreign student's community in the country. | en_US |
