Abstract
The study focused on the church management and its performance in Hoima Archdeaconry. The purpose of study was to assess the church management and its performance. It was guided by three objectives which included: )> To establish the strategies and processes used by the church to solve church problems and supporters to the church programs. )> To explore factors constraining measurement of church contribution to social development of church service )> To find out criteria used to assessing church contributions to social economic aspects. The study employed descriptive research design because of the nature of the study. The study found out that human resource challenges facing Hoima archdeaconry hence Bunyoro Kitara Dioceses are both external and internal in nature some governance and administrative structures, accountability and reporting relationships are unclear. The study also revealed that the welfare remuneration and benefits from service for clergy including pensions and other retirement benefits are not clear. Recommendations, there is need for networking between the church and other organizations in addressing church problems by developing people's saving culture, leadership skills, business and entrepreneurships. To mobilize communities for action through Sunday service, seminars, workshops, business training to develop a sense of business management.
