dc.description.abstract“Effects of increase on population or sanitation condition in Maganzo Town, Kishapu District. Shinyanga ,Tanzania” The scope of the study was defined and objectives set line with the purpose of the study. Variables investigated and assessed in the field were the level of awareness of the community to sanitation condition, it is causes and observable evidences in the study area, the effect of the poor sanitation its livelihood and socio- economic activities in the communities under study and finally the government and international put in place to help the communities with mitigation and adaptation of the environmental sanitation effects, A total sample size of 130 respondents ~N= 119) was chosen through systematic randomly sampling for the community members such as farmers, businessman, and community leaders at household level which was the basic sampling unit and purposive sampling was used to select respondent from the government department such as extension officers and health officer respondent from non government and international organizations in the study area. Primary data was obtained through use of questionnaires, interviews, and literature reviews.The study also establish the effect of poor sanitation on the livelihoods and socio- economic welfare of communities in Kishapu District has having been negative with regards with the to the declining agriculture productivity and pastoralists activity through affected of communicable diseases, infectious diseases, reduction water quality and quantities, unsightly areas, and finally increase in tropical infectious diseases such as malaria. The study also acknowledged that despite the presence of numerous governmental and international organization programmes in the study area aimed at promoting enviromnent sanitation and adaptation measures, the awareness apathy as to the dynamic nature of the ciirnate phenomenon has not enable the programmes to provide sufficient prevention and compensation of the effects suffered by those vulnerable communities. The study concluded that the lack of awareness of sanitation issues compounded the severity of the negative consequences’ experienced by the most vulnerable communities. Recommendations for reversing the negative conclusions such as rising awareness through introducing health education to the communities on environmental sanitationen_US
