Abstract
This research seeks to analyze the right to vote and the extent, to which it is
implemented in Uganda. Reference will be made to 2001 and 2006 Presidential
and Parliamentary elections. The research also analyses whether the elections
were free and fair as required by the law. Emphasis will be made basically in
Rubaga Division of Kampala District. Further analysis on whether the conduct of
elections conformed to the international set standards in the various relevant
Conventions and Declarations shall be accorded consideration
