Abstract
This research focused on establishing the contributions of procurement risk analysis
and contract management in an organization, using a case study of Saalamin
Company in Somalia. Risk is the exposure to loss as a consequence of uncertainty.
Risk is unavoidable in public procurement and exists at each stage in the
procurement process. Managing risk in public procurement is an operational activity
that is the responsibility of the procuring organization or entity that "owns" or is
accountable for the procurement. Good practice in public procurement involves
putting in place measures to understand and manage these risks. The research
focuses on the various literature of different authors and expounds on the gaps that
exist in their research findings and how various procurement risks analysis can be
contained or overcome in the organizations, the research further focuses on the
relationship between procurement risk mitigation and contract performance in
Saalamin Company Limited. The methodology was also well set and versed with the
research objectives in order to enable the researcher gather data for the final report.
Chapter four presents the research findings as presented in tables, the findings are
based on the three objectives of the research and conclusions and recommendations
with summaries are provided to the concerned parties in chapter five.
