| dc.description.abstract | Most corporations have the challenge that a corporation’s purpose is to maximize returns to its shareholders, and that since only people can have social responsibilities, corporations are only responsible to their shareholders and not to society as a whole. This study investigated the relationship between CSR and Company sustainability in CWS Cooperatives in RWANDA. It was carried out with the specific objectives to determine the extent of CSR, to determine the e&ent of company sustainability and establish if there is a significant relationship between CSR and company sustainability. The study collected data from 4 firms spread all over in Rwanda. The sample size of 240 respondents was selected from 601 coffee farmers. Using a questionnaire, CSR were measured using scale. Analysis was by correlation coefficient. The results show a positive correlation. The findings of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between of CSR and CWS sustainability. The Null Hypothesis was rejected. The study further recommended Regular training of all personnel on the importance of both the CSR and sustainable development. Corporations should also develop and adopt CSR strategies that are in line with societal goals and should regularly report on their CSR activities. Staff should always be reminded of the importance of CSR. It is finally recommended that adequate and universally accepted regulations should be put in place and adopted by governments to guarantee that the business are conducted in fair way. | en_US |
