dc.description.abstractThe research begins by realizing the impressive advances made .in media industry since its development in Uganda towards the positive image of women. It notes that this positive image of women in the media has increased effectively and efficiently in' media production and reporting with advances and development private media stations. The study seeks to assess the effectiveness of media's contribution towards the positive image of women in Uganda focus is put on the media programmes and articles on timely basis. The research employed descriptive and explanatory and quantitative design based on result~ from questionnaires, interviews, from 50 respondents purposefully selected from Kampala. The study establishes that the media has tended to address the positive image of women, which is a core of the development of a modern societyen_US
