The objectives of the study were; to examine the role of training on staff performance among civil servants in Ibanda Municipal council, to examine how training needs of organizational are determined in Ibanda municipal council and to examine the challenges faced by the organization in training the employees in Ibanda municipal council. The study was conducted in Ibanda municipal council. The Municipal council was selected because it has registered reasonable performance challenges in their operations in the last 2 years hence the study.
