dc.description.abstractThis study investigated the relationship between Participative management and employee performance at Complexe Scolaire Sainte Felicite, Cotonou, Benin Republic. To achieve the purpose, the study determine the profile of respondents, effectiveness of participative management system of the school ; level of employee performance; and established the relation between participative management systems and the level of employee performance as specific objective. The study design used was descriptive correlation and the research population was 300. Trough Sloven’s formula, a sample size of 171 respondents was established. Simple random sampling technique was used to sample respondents. Self- administered questionnaires were used as research instruments. The validity and reliability of instruments were obtained trough validity content and pre-testing. Ethical considerations of research were followed in the study and data was analyzed through frequency, percentages, means, correlation and regression matrix. The findings indicate that participative management systems was effective at the mean of 2.63 ; the level of employee performance at the school was found to be high at the mean of 2.65 ; and the Results using Pearson’s Linear Correlation Coefficient found that Participative management is significantly and positively correlated with employee performance (r=-0.355, sig. =0.000). Regression analysis results indicated that participative management was found responsible for over 12% variation towards employee performance in Complexe Scolaire Sainte Felicite (Adjusted r2=0.120).. The study conducted that effectiveness in participative management of the school is positively significant related to the level of employee performance. It was recommended that the managers enhances training and provides different mechanisms of participative management such that best practices of management can be in place to stimulate the level of employee performance in the School.en_US
