The study particularly assessed the impact of supply risk management on operational effectiveness at Mulago Hospital Complex. The study was guided by the following objectives: to assess the impact of supplier relationships on material availability and quality, to determine the impact of outsourcing on operational continuity, to establish the strategies/approaches to supply disruptions in organizations and. to assess the benefits of risk management The research was principally descriptive involving both qualitative and quantitative techniques of data analysis. Simple random sampling techniques \\O5 the main techniques used to select respondents for the study, however sonic respondents were purposively selected and a total of 30 respondents participated in this study. The main instruments for data collection were basically questionnaires but also face to face interviews were conducted. Data collected using questionnaires and a structured interview guide as analyzed using frequency counts in form of percentages and was later tabulated to determine the relationship between variables. The findings of the research showed that the Mulago Hospital Management despite having a high influx of patients, lack a comprehension risk management strategy to monitor and control the flow of supplies to the hospital and this likely to increase the rate and occurrence of stock outs especially for common use drugs in the complex. The researcher recommends among others things that it is important that for executives and risk managers to reassess how they manage the growing number of risks facing their organizations and that to keep pace with the dynamic changes taking place within the business environment; risk managers in cooperation with senior management must embed risk management practices into all mission-critical points within the complex.en_US
