| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study was to establish the effect of sugarcane growing implications on pupils' enrollment in primary schools in Namugongo sub-county. It was guided by three objectives that is to say to find out the effect of pupils, parents and community attitudes on pupils' enrollment in primary schools in Namugongo sub-county. It was both qualitative and quantitative but more biased on the quantitative approaches. It involved a number of 177 respondents who were systematically selected for the study purposes. The findings of the study revealed positive significant relationships between pupil's attitudes, parents' attitudes and community attitudes on pupils' enrolment for primary schools in Namugongo sub-county. It was therefore concluded that pupils' attitudes, parents' attitudes and community members' attitudes have a positive significant relationship with pupils' enrollment for primary education in Namugongo sub-county. It was finally recommended that for pupils' enrollment to increase in primary schools in Namugongo sub-county parents, pupils and the general community should be sensitized to develop positive attitudes towards their children education, by removing traditional backward cultures, values, and attitudes that deter children enrollment for school. | en_US |
