Purpose of this research was to investigate the cultural factors and students' enrollment in selected secondary schools of Nyamira North district, Nyamira County, Kenya. The specific objectives of the study were to determine the profile of the respondents in Nyamira North district in terms of gender, age, education level economic status and professional qualifications. to determine the levels of cultural factor in Nyamira North district (in terms of early marriages, stereo type beliefs), to determine the level of students school enrolments in terms of daily attendance and to determine if there is significant relationship· between cultural factors and student enrolments in schools in Nyamira North district Nyamira county Kenya. The researcher used descriptive survey designs where both qualitative and quantitative designs were used. The researcher used random sampling technique to select 10 schools to acquire a sample of 227 respondents out of the population of 5000. The findings indicated that the cultural levels affected the enrolments of students in schools as shown by the r-value of -.355 which nullifies the null hypothesis which stated that there is no significant relationship hence to be there was significant relationship. The students from families with eroded culture had a better enrolment than students from relatively cultural rooted families and this was associated to high cultural issues of families. The findings revealed that most parents have negative attitude towards education which hinders them from taking students to school and paying fees in time. The researcher recommended the schools to help the students who come from cultural rooted homes by enticing parents to provide the basic needs for their children to be enrolled in schools. The researcher also recommended parents to help children in achieving their educational dream.en_US
