Abstract
In the past, it was difficult to access credit from the banks without collateral securities. In recent years, there has been tremendous change which has made borrowing more accessible to include unsecured personal loans. In the course of lending and bon·owing, the performance of unsecured loans has caused anxiety to both parties. The reason is that unsecured loans are 1iskier than other loan products. The objective of the study is to analyze the performance of unsecured personal loans in commercial banks by the researcher. A total of eight banks will form the population of study and five banks will form the sample size of the study. Data will be collected using questionnaires and data presented and analyzed using simple statistical methods. The study assumes that it will provide valuable information towards the management of unsecured personal loans in the banking institutions.
