dc.description.abstract | This study looked into job design and organizational performance and the purpose of the study was to find out whether job design affects organizational performance. The objectives of this study were; to determine whether job design affects organizational performance, to find out the indicators of job design and to determine the factors that affect organizational performance. The researcher adopted a casual comparative research design because the study has a cause effect relationship. The instruments used were questionnaires and interviews and analyzed the data using frequency tables and graphs. The researcher found out that there was a relationship between job design and organizational performance. It was also found out that the indicators of job design were retention, absenteeism and performance. The study also found that the factors affecting performance were salary, competition, and management style and job design. The researcher concluded that good job design will lead to better organizational performance though other factors affect performance. The researcher recommended that organizations should have a job design to perform well and avoid absenteeism, increase retention rates and improve performance. It also recommended that workers should be given adequate salaries, use friendly management styles, provide tools and equipment, and motivating staff to improve working life. | en_US |
