Abstract
The study focused on the factors influencing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among the youth in Uganda Kampala district Makindye division. It was across sectional survey which involved youth, adults and local leaders & NGOs and public servant. The data was collected using questionnaires, interviews, observation and Library search (documentary review). The findings revealed methods youth used to get information which is appropriate and mean that youth get information about HIV/AIDS. Also the government and NGOs play their role towards HIV/AIDS problem. The researcher recommended that vocational training should be taught to be job maker rather than job seekers and also free health services on both NGOs and government should provide free health services and NGOs should sensitize the public about the danger and the possible effects of HIV/AIDS. In summary the major purpose of the study was to know the factors influencing the prevalence of HIV/AIDS among the youth in Makindye division.
