Abstract
This study was set out to establish the relationship between good governance and socio-economic development in Mogadishu Somalia and to determine if there is a relationship between good governance and socio-economic development in Mogadishu, Somalia. To accomplish this task, it was guided by the following research questions; what is the profile of the respondents in terms of age, sex, and level of education. Specially, the study was to establish how decentralization governance and socio-economic development in Mogadishu, Somalia, and to investigate levels of resources availability and utilization to the good governance in, Somalia. The study was conducted through cross sectional design survey and correlation research design, quantitative approach with a questionnaire and includes 124 respondents from selected civil servant local administrators in Mogadishu, Somalia. The researcher found that the good governance and socio-economic development are significant correlated. The study Recommendation that the local authorities should change policies and allow the community to participate in planning, implementation, and decision making and also should design projects concerning their problem, to reach social and economic development.
