dc.description.abstract | The growth of civil aviation has seen development in civil aviation technology. Over the years, there have been series of attacks at airports and onboard aircraft's which have necessitated the intervention of both international and domestic organs in the bid to repress and suppress such threats to aviation security. The intervention has come in form of enacting Conventions, legislation s and regulations which contain measures to be put to improve the situation. This study is therefore a review of Nigeria's intervention to such security threats. It is a review and an analysis of Nigeria's aviation safety and security legislation s and regulations, its aviation authorities and the roles of international bodies such as the ICAO, IATA and other States. These bodies and organs have played various roles in the improvement of aviation safety and security and if such roles are carried out in accordance with relevant provisions put in place, there is a high possibility of totally eliminating aviation security threats and incidents, making air transport safer and more secure to travel with. | en_US |
