Abstract
The aim of the study was to assess the level of awareness of sexually transmitted infections among secondary school students and the preventive measures they know and use to protect themselves from acquiring these sexually transmitted infections. A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out. A random sampling method was used to select students from Basajjabalaba secondary school and these students was tested using pretested questionnaires which will be administered to the director of studies at the school. Recommendations that the study came up with were that the most students (96%) had proper knowledge about the existence of sexually transmitted infections and how to prevent them.
