dc.description.abstractThis study focused on finding out of employees' involvement in decision making. Research was conducted through different research methods so as to collect the needed data which was conducted/ca.'Tied out at TANROADS. The study revealed that the employees at TANROADS are involved in matters affecting their daily activities as far as the whole Agency with their representatives through their Trade Union. From the study it showed the significance of involving employees in decision making process are: increasing individual creativity and challenges to the job, improvement of industrial relations, employees are more willing to accept changes, work performance increased, increasing cooperation between management and subordinates, reduce conflict at work place and speed up communication between one employee to another. The study opts for a case study design. Data collection was primary and secondary, primary includes interviews, questionnaire and observation and secondary includes documentary and different annual reports. The study shows some of the problems which faced employees involved in the decision making process at TANROADS such as poor information to employees, abusing of employees representatives during meetings, employees at TANROADS having many roles hence lacking enough time to participate in decision making. The possible solutions were participation of employees in various unions such as Trade Union at workplace, training, meeting and seminars. The recommendations from the researcher are, to enhance effective communication, procedures of the meeting should be followed to enhance employees participation, government should punish those organization which do not implement the policy of workers participation, organization should increase interdependence of task, increase good relationship between employees and management and organizations should train their employees in order to cope with technological changes.en_US
