This study of theoretical modeling of the influence of temperature of fiber optics was geared towards improving the performance of optical fibers. The fiber under investigations is characterized by a bi-quadratic refractive index, especially having a W-shape index profile with two controlling parameters [alpha and m]. The W-shape fiber is the type of single mode fiber [SMF] that has the wide core radius in its profile index, so it transmits faster. The analysis and computation are carried out in examining the radial position, the determination of the maximum axial temperature variation and determination of the radial temperature variation. The temperature variations are investigated through the behavior of a Gaussian laser beam or the light intensity [Jo] propagating inside the fiber. The ray trajectory equation is described as a function of the fiber parameters and the launching conditions. Special emphasis is given to the maximum axial temperature in the fiber. The different factors affecting the maximum axial temperature are studied and investigated, and suitable values are assigned to them to find out whether they are in an allowable level of this temperature [60°C]. It was found that all the maximum axial temperature is discovered within the accepted level [Tmax ≤ 60°C]. Finally, it is recommended that the self-standing sets of parameters [a, m, a, I~] vigorously affect the axial temperature variation not the radial temperature variation.en_US
