Abstract
This study was conducted in Dadamu Sub -County primary schools in Arua district.
The study investigated justifications for low learner's achievements in science in the
primary schools ofDadamu Sub-County.
The researcher asked three questions to which the study provided answer.
The researcher used three different tools for collecting data. These were questionnaire,
observation and check-list, which were used cross-sectionally.
Most of the null hypothesis was rejected with exception of one.
The conclusions were that, low achievements of learners were not due to lack of interest
or lack of instructional materials, but due to the in-appropriate methods.
Recommendations elicited that teachers should revise and employ most appropriate
methods for teaching science, and teachers, administrators and stake holders should
provide adequate materials to enhance achievements of learners.
