dc.description.abstractThe role of media in the fight in alleviation of poverty in Uganda" is the topic of a dissertation submitted to the graduate school in partial fulfillment for the award of the degree of Mass Communication (Journalism) in the faculty of Social science, Department of Mass communication at Kampala International University (KIU). The main focus of the study was the extent to which role the existing media institutions contribute to the fight in alleviation of poverty in Uganda. On the basis of Research Findings, the study identified the contributions and inadequacies in the media stations and put forward recommendations geared towards the usage of media promotion and dissemination of information to improve the economic livelihood of Ugandans towards the alleviation of poverty in Uganda.en_US
