Abstract
The ma:in purpose of the study was to establish the Impact of Management
techniques on Operational Efficiency and the objectives were to;
Determine the relationship between supplier management techniques and
operational efficiency of an organization. Asses the effects of Supplier
Management techniques on operational Efficiency in Regal paints Ltd. The
findings are intended to benefit future academicians especially Kampala
International University business studies, help organization on how to develop
relationship with supplier in improving performance.
Data was collected through questionnaires. Two categories of respondents
namely the employees and the purchasing manager were used. The data
collected was analyzed and interpreted by use of tables, graphs, pie chart and
in percentages.
Through data analysis, the findings of the study revealed the following:
That Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) as a supplier management technique
leads to operational efficiency of an organization.
That developing relationship and managing a supplier leads to operational
efficiency of an organization.
The main recommendations were that all organizations should adopt
management techniques to improve on their operational efficiency.
And that, firms should develop collaborative relationship with suppliers in
order to increase on their operational efficiency.
