dc.description.abstractThe study was aimed at establishing the relationship between multiple sourcing and performance. The objectives included the effect of tactical sourcing, multiple sourcing on performance of organizations. The problem of interest included poor quality and supply rehabilitee for the performance of the organization. The study adopted a design of qualitative and quantitative approach and used focus group discussion, interviews and self-administered questionnaires. The sample was 20 and 60% of the responses were from male and reasons for multiple sourcing included price, quality and stock The study realised 95% of the responses agree that purchasing functions contributes to organization's performance. It concluded multiple sourcing creates strong relationship between the vendor and the buyer. The study recommended the management envist the purchasing policies, proper planning for requirements and measuring of performance of purchasing function.en_US
