dc.description.abstractThe study investigated the effect of communication strategy on the performance of northern Uganda social action fund projects in Gulu district, Uganda, it was guided by the following objectives; to assess the various communication strategies adopted by Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF) in Uganda, to determine the relationship between communication strategies and performance Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF) in Uganda and to ascertain the challenges affecting the adopted communication strategies in Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF) in Uganda. The study adopted a cross sectional study design-case study design. The study population was 260 respondents are chosen from the leadership structure and directly mandated to manage communication in North Uganda Social Action Fund projects. a sample size of (152 respondents) was selected from the study population of (260) respondents using Krejcie and Morgan, table (1970) the study concluded that A single organization may have multiple strategies for different categories of people, such as clients, investors, competitors, or employees. Some companies even have an internal communication strategy for communicating within the business itself. for any organizational performance to be effective, the communication strategies applied should be open- An open communication environment is one in which all members of the organization feel free to share feedback, ideas and even criticism at every level. The study recommended that there is a need for a communication policy as it has monitoring and evaluation indicators. To effectively train the staff more especially on Information Technology as it plays a major role at Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF) in Uganda in the communication process hence performance is improved. Ownership of efforts by top management and acceptance by middle managers and operatives will motivate employees to perform better. The organization should make all necessary arrangements to see to it that proper communication strategies are put in place or adopted by the organization in order to enhance good performance of the organization, there should be improved efforts at ensuring information provided by management are thorough and understandable. Moreover, other channels of communication such as the use of notice boards can be explored. In addition, email/internet communication must be improved.en_US
