Abstract
The study sought to analyze the achievement of sustainable development through environmental law in Uganda. Environmental law is world’s most regulating system promoting, protecting and conserving environment. The study objectives were; to identify the laws relating to sustainable development, to examine the effectiveness of the laws relating to sustainable development, to evaluate the challenges facing sustainable development and to recommend solutions to the challenges to sustainable development and the method used in this research was reliant on library,
Google and other sources etc. Generally, there are various legislation's on sustainable development, the concept of sustainable development is inferred from various legislation's that were evaluated and analyzed. The concept of sustainable development is very clear it regulates the use of natural resource for both present and future and the control of environmental degradation etc.
