| dc.description.abstract | This research was to find out the effect of teachers’ strike action on Educational system in some selected schools in Bugangaizi East Kakumiro District To accomplish the objectives Qf this study questionnaire was drown for 50 students and 35 teachers of between 19 years to 37 ages respectively were selected in the area of study. The data collected was edited and simple statistical method was employed. The findings of this study research revealed that; Strike is caused by irregularities of teachers’ salary. Indiscipline of students in various schools and lack of a dialogue between Government and IJNATU all these result to strike actions. The effects of these actions usually decrease the required academic performance of students in secondary schools and it also leads to low morale in both teachers and students. The following recommendations and suggestions according to this research if taken into consideration will reduce or totally eliminate strike action. These are attractive remunerations, adequate financing, adherence to collective bargaining, Provision of adequate education facilities and infrastructure that will enhance learning and the use of dialogue in resolving conflicts among others. Therefore the government of Uganda should put them into consideration so as to solve the problem of teachers’ strike in Bugangaizi East and Uganda at large. | en_US |
