dc.description.abstract | This research work attempted to find out what role the medial (Internet) has played in globalizing the third world countries. In this study, Uganda was used to represent these nations. The study looked at the different facets of the Internet and its contributions to Uganda. Data for this study was colleted through the use of questionnaires and Interviews. The instnunents particularly sought the people's knowledge about the Inte1net and globalization, and generally the contribution that were needed for effective Internet usage so that Uganda too could enjoy the benefits and fruits of globalization. It was administered at kansanga a suburb of Kampala city. Data collected was analyzed descriptively by the use of percentages and graphs. The study was carried out benveen December 2005 and August 2006. The estimated cost was 300.000Ugs. | en_US |
