dc.description.abstractThe study carried out on the Management Skills and Quality of Business in selected Small and Medium Enterprises in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The data was collected from 210 respondents using questionnaire and interview. The objectives study were; (i) to determine the level of the management skills of small and medium enterprises in Addis Ababa Ethiopia (ii), to investigate the level of quality of small business enterprises in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, (iii) to establish whether there is a significant relationship between management skills and quality of small and medium enterprises, (iv) to examine if there is significance differences between management skills and quality of SMEs in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. The study primarily focused on four of Addis Ababa Divisions, national community. “Bulbula, Kolobo, Laftu, and Selbane. The study used questionnaire and also interview questions as the main tool for collected data and analyzed using SPSS’s descriptive statistics for means and standard deviations. The study found out that there is a relatively low level of management skills performance with mean (2.48) ranked low in terms of quality of the business; where there also a low level of quality of SME(2.1633) ranked low in terms of market shares, competitive advantage income generation and customer satisfaction. Level of significance difference (management skills and quality of SME F=560.465, sig = 0.00) significant relation between management skills and quality of small and medium enterprises in selected districts in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. (r Value=0.854% sig. = 0.000). In the selected four districts in Addis Ababa Ethiopia After analyzing the data it was found out that there was a low level of management skills causing low quality products. The study has recommended: Managers of the business should upgrade their ability aimed toward skills acquisition clearly and ensure that they achieve the goals of the business, Stockholders and managers should ensure that there are improvements continuously in their product quality of their business in order to reach the highest level or standard needed to a business, Create a good reputation for superior quality products and services to consumers and Plan for success because a good plan helps them to increase their chances of succeeding and can help their business concepts, estimates, predict sales and control their risks.en_US
