dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to establish whether there is a relationship between the present leadership of Somaliland and the good governance in Hargeisa. In order to achieve the objectives of the study the researcher used descriptive quantitative and qualitative research study as a research study design. In gathering the information, the researcher employed both primary and the secondary sources, questionnaire and interview were employed together primary data and documentation and literature review were used for secondary data. The result was constructed at 100% confidence at interval with a margin error of 0%. Test was determined valid and its reliability is 10 mean is lOO%) Criteria of leadership and good governance where mean was 2.981 and 3.037 respectively, Computed r-value was 0.8915, reliable and the Critical value was 1.1 thus Accept the hypothesis. Which was NO.1 significance therefore the result is that there is no relationship. According to Pearsor.’s coefficient, the relationship between leadership styles and good governance was strongly accepted at a value of 0.236. Computed r-value was generated from mean scores of leadership and good governance in Hargeisa Somaliland. Critical value was generated from the net of statistics/r values. It was revealed that the Leadership focuses on the areas of, good governance, anti corruption, economic growth; however, gaps exist in areas of safe water drinking, and livelihoods improvement. Finally the researcher found out and concluded that there is no relationship between the leadership and good governance in Hargeisa Somaliland. The Researcher therefore, recommends that L&GG should fill the existing gaps especially areas of accountability, transparency, participation, responsiveness, effectiveness / efficiency and social justice to realize the follow of rule of law.en_US
