dc.description.abstractThis research was carried out to find out the contribution of Trade exhibition programs towards market development for Uganda’s export. The main objective was to assess the impact of trade exhibition programs towards the development of Uganda. The specifics were; to examine the benefits of Uganda from Trade Exhibition programs. To identify the challenges faced in planning Trade Exhibition programs in Uganda. To find out the solutions that could be put in place to overcome the challenges faced in planning Trade Exhibition programs in Uganda. The research design of this study was cross sectional study. The sampling procedures adopted were both non probability and probability sampling; questionnaires, interviews and surveys were used to collect data while the researcher used quantitative data analysis. The findings identified how trade exhibition program activities enhance market development for Uganda’s exports. Under this objective, the study revealed that, it identifies new markets, enhances competition among exporters and improve quality of products for exports. In addition to the above the study identified problems faced by exporters in accessing market and the problems include; inadequate infrastructure, costly promotion programs, lengthy certification processes, unstable export promotion programs, poor weather to mention but a few. On a conclusive remark therefore different solutions were identified by the researcher about what the government should do by recommending it to improve on the policies, promote local trade shows, use of simple exhibit materials, and reduce on the exhibit space among others as a way of encouraging exportersen_US
