This report presents investigations on factors that affect performance among geography students in secondary education. The study was conducted in Turbo Division, Uasin Gishu District, Rift Valley Province, Kenya. It was restricted to performance of geography students, in which 20 geography teachers and 21 students were interviewed. The researcher administered his personally designed and approved questionnaires, which were intended to revealed the factors relating to the teaching force, the availability of the teaching and learning resources and also some of the strategies that were laid to improve the performance of Geography in Secondary schools. It was also found out that the teaching and learning resources were inadequate in some schools and not available at all in other schools and strategies that were laid to improve the performance of Geography in Secondary schools, were ineffective. The report therefore recommends that students should be encouraged by both their parents and teachers in every possible way, to improve on their performances. On the other hand, geography teachers should also be supported by the Government, parents, the school and even the students to acquire more instructional materials for their work. The government should still improve on the geography syllabus, with the involvement of teachers.en_US
