dc.description.abstractThe researcher’s major purpose was to identify and examine the extent of parents’ participation in curriculum implementation in selected lower primary schools in Sipili Division, Laikipia West District and how it related to school efficacy. Specific objectives at which the study was aimed included to identify the demographic characteristics of the respondents; to determine the extent of parents’ participation in curriculum implementation; to determine the level of school efficacy in the schools under study, and to establish the relationship between the extent of parents’ participation in curriculum implementation and level of school efficacy in the schools under study. The design embraced by this research was descriptive survey and descriptive correlational styles. To verify the relationship between variables, a survey was carried out in 50 lower primary schools in Sipili Division, Laikipia West District by using a face sheet and researcher devised questionnaire. The findings from the study revealed that the degree of parents’ participation in curriculum implementation was generally high as indicated by the overall mean of 3.06 and the degree of school efficacy was also high as indicated as high by an overall mean of 3.01. The study also discovered a positive significant relationship between parents’ participation in curriculum implementation and school efficacy in the schools under study. The study recommended that Primary schools of Sipili division (Kenya) should put in place strong parent-teacher associations in these schools so as to help improve on their participation in curriculum implementationen_US
